Woman, have you truly submitted to your man?

Have you even bothered to kiss his feet?

Have you laid at his feet?

Have you danced in your little thong for him?

Ephesians 5:33
…the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Worshipping God usually involves adopting postures or actions.

2 Chronicles 7:3
…the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped…

Exodus 34:8
And Moses made haste, and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshipped.

1 Kings 18:42
And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees

Psalm 63:4
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.

Psalm 28:2
Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.

Ezekiel 44:4
…the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD: and I fell upon my face.

So, we can physically manifest our submission to the Lord via physical poses and actions.

And, remember the hierarchy.

Genesis 3:16
…thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Ephesians 5:23
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church

1 Corinthians 11:3
…the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

In line with the heirachy, Jesus knelt before the Father.

Luke 22:41-42
And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done

So, what poses and actions instantiate a woman’s submission to her husband?

Ephesians 5:24
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Everything is broad and all encompassing.  So, really any of these postures of submission could be used.

Let us continue with examples of physical manifestations of submissions throughout the Bible, which can be applied to the husband-wife hierarchy.

Luke 7:44-45
…she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
Thou gavest me no kiss: but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

Luke 10:39
And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.

Esther 3:2
And all the king's servants, that were in the king's gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him.

Esther 8:3
And Esther spake yet again before the king, and fell down at his feet…

When Ruth met her prospective husband, this is how she behaved:
Ruth 3:4,14
…thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.
…And she lay at his feet until the morning

Keeping with the hierarchy, King David submitted to the Lord by dancing before the Lord, wearing very little.
2 Samuel 6:14
And David danced before the LORD with all his might; and David was girded with a linen ephod.

Michal, the daughter of Saul, saw King David dance like this in front of all, including handmaids, and hated King David.
2 Samuel 6:16,20
….Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart.
….How glorious was the king of Israel to day, who uncovered himself to day in the eyes of the handmaids of his servants, as one of the vain fellows shamelessly uncovereth himself!

King David explained to Michal that this dance was for the Lord (in line with the hierarchy).  And he would be even more vile and foolish for the Lord.
2 Samuel 6:21-22
And David said unto Michal, It was before the LORD, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel: therefore will I play before the LORD.
And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight:

She became barren for her criticism.

2 Samuel 6:23
Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.

In fact, dancing is a great way to instantiate submission in the hierarchy.

Women dancing for the Lord:

Exodus 15:20-21
And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand; and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
   And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously;

A girl dancing for her father:
Judges 11:34
And Jephthah came to Mizpeh unto his house, and, behold, his daughter came out to meet him with timbrels and with dances: and she was his only child; beside her he had neither son nor daughter.

Girls dancing for potential husbands:

Judges 21:21
And see, and, behold, if the daughters of Shiloh come out to dance in dances, then come ye out of the vineyards, and catch you every man his wife of the daughters of Shiloh, and go to the land of Benjamin.

Women dancing for the king:
1 Samuel 18:6
…the women came out of all cities of Israel, singing and dancing, to meet king Saul, with tabrets, with joy, and with instruments of musick.

Dancing for the Lord:
Psalm 149:3
Let them praise his name in the dance: let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
