Key to finding your place is being ‘sanctified.’
Being sanctified is to be made saintly, holy, set apart to God.
Generically, being sanctified means to be in the state of proper functioning.
A screwdriver is sanctified when it is used to tighten screws.
Yes, you can use a screwdriver to hammer nails into wood, but this is not the state of proper functioning – not full ability.
A formula one race car is sanctified when it is used on a smooth, curvy, race track. While it can be used on rough, country roads, this is not proper function, not full ability.
A human being is sanctified, therefore, when he lives according to God's design and purpose.
2 Timothy 2:21
If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
Accordingly, we all need to find our place and role for sanctification.
Jeremiah was sanctified as a prophet.
Jeremiah 1:5
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Paul set apart for God’s use.
Galatians 1:15
But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace
If we are called as a helper, but we are acting as a leader, we fail.
1 Corinthians 12:23
And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
Perfection demands that an eye not function as an ear.
1 Corinthians 12:17
If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
2 Timothy 3:17
That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Chosen – but for what? Find your place.
Acts 9:15
But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel
Don’t serve tables if your place is dedicated to the Word.
Acts 6:2

1 Corinthians 12:28-31
And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
