Pornography.  We are to hate it!
But what is it?  Nudity?  Images of sexual acts?  Bikinis?
Sexy outfits?  Topless women?  Topless men?

For this webpage, let’s define pornography as what everyone hates with moral fervor – images of nude or sexily dressed women that heterosexual men like.
Should we hate this porn?  No.

From Creation, expressions of longing for and suffering without that woman link us directly to Christ and God.

Pornography is the key to your salvation.

Proverbs 25:24
   It is
better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman and in a wide house.

Most Bible readers know of the exodus of Moses and the Israelites out of Egypt into the promised land.

What most miss, far more importantly, is that God’s primary purpose was to bring his people to himself.
God’s purpose was more spiritual than physical.

Exodus 6:7
And I will take you to me for a people, and I will be to you a God: and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God, which bringeth you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

Leviticus 26:12
And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.

Exodus 25:8
And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them.

Obedience is critical to being God’s people.
Jeremiah 7:23
Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

A rebellious Israel moves away from God.
Jeremiah 7:24
But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels and in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

God considers his people to be his bride.
Hosea 2:19-20
And I will betroth thee unto me for ever; yea, I will betroth thee unto me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in lovingkindness, and in mercies.
I will even betroth thee unto me in faithfulness: and thou shalt know the LORD.

God considers his people who have slid back into sin as his adulterous wife.
Jeremiah 3:8,13-14
And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
…ye have not obeyed my voice, saith the LORD.
Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you

Hosea 9:1
Rejoice not, O Israel, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God

God is jealous regarding this adultery.
Exodus 34:14-15
For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:
Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods

A beautiful wife with beautiful accessories (from God):
Ezekiel 16:11-14
I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.
And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.
Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.
And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.

God hates that she lost her beauty through sin.
Lamentations 1:6
And from the daughter of Zion all her beauty is departed

Lamentations 2:15
All that pass by clap their hands at thee; they hiss and wag their head at the daughter of Jerusalem, saying, Is this the city that men call The perfection of beauty, The joy of the whole earth?

Similarly, God in human form – the man Jesus Christ, is looking for his people, an obedient people, which is likened to an obedient wife.

John 10:27
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me

Luke 6:46
And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Ephesians 5:22-24
Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

The Apostle Paul presents Christians as a bride to Christ, but is jealous if Christians worship false gods.
2 Corinthians 11:2-4
For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Christ’s people become perfect.  This sanctification is a lengthy process.  (Alternative translations of perfect are: fulfilled, matured, completed.)

Ephesians 4:12
For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ

2 Timothy 3:17
That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

1 Peter 5:10
But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Psalm 18:32
It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

Ephesians 5:26-27
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

In a long process (12 months) of cleansing, potential wives beautify their bodies for the King in:
Esther 2:12
Now when every maid's turn was come to go in to king Ahasuerus, after that she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)

Christ’s word cleanses, and we are joined to him.
John 15:3-4
Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
Abide in me, and I in you.

Christ’s people are perfect with Christ’s righteousness – as the only righteousness acceptable to God is from God.
Romans 10:3
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Mark 10:18
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

John 3:35
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

John 5:30
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

For perfection, Christ’s people (his bride) dress according to his specifications – that is, his people/his bride put on Christ’s righteousness.

Zechariah 3:3-4
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.
And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him.  And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.

Psalm 132:9
   Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness;

2 Chronicles 6:41
let thy priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation

Brides’ clothing is to be spiritual.
1 Peter 3:1,3-4
   Likewise, ye wives…
   Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

We can see how the only beauty (righteousness) acceptable to God is from God.
On the literal level, in Genesis 24, Abraham sends his servant to find a beautiful wife (Rebekah) for Isaac.
Genesis 24:4
But thou shalt go unto my country, and to my kindred, and take a wife unto my son Isaac.

Genesis 24:16
And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her

Rebekah’s beauty is enhanced by gifts of attractive clothing and jewels; (the only acceptable righteousness to God is from God).
Genesis 24:53
And the servant brought forth jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment, and gave them to Rebekah

On the figurative level, Abraham is God the Father, Isaac is Christ the Son, and unnamed servant of Abraham is the Holy Spirit, and Rebekah is God’s people – Christ’s bride.

And, note how the servant would find the ideal wife (and the Holy Spirit would find God's people) by seeing they were hard working.

Genesis 24:14
And let it come to pass, that the damsel to whom I shall say, Let down thy pitcher, I pray thee, that I may drink; and she shall say, Drink, and I will give thy camels drink also

Also, note how the unnamed servant will not wait, as your tomorrow might not be the day of salvation.
Genesis 24:55-56
And her brother and her mother said, Let the damsel abide with us a few days, at the least ten; after that she shall go.
And he said unto them, Hinder me not, seeing the LORD hath prospered my way; send me away that I may go to my master.

2 Corinthians 6:2
behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

Matthew 25:1-3
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them

The oil is the Holy Spirit.

It’s too late for these potential brides.
Matthew 25:10-13
   …the door was shut.
Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

And, in contrast, note how the adulterous bride, God’s idolatrous people, have their own righteousness, (her own jewels/beauty).
Hosea 2:13
And I will visit upon her the days of Baalim, wherein she burned incense to them, and she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers, and forgat me, saith the LORD.

But, in the end, Christ has his cleansed people.
Revelation 19:7-8
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of saints.

Who are we?  Sinful.
Romans 7:18
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing

1 John 1:8
If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

The perfection that is The Law has one penalty for us.
Romans 6:23
   For the wages of sin is death;

Our only hope is to accept the only righteousness that is acceptable to God.
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

As the bride of Christ, The Law has no power over us.
Romans 7:4
…ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead

When Christ was born, Simeon knew he had seen salvation in human form.
Luke 2:27-31
…when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,
Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
   Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

Salvation is the man: Christ.

When Christ arrived at Zacchaeus’ house, Christ said so.
Luke 19:9-10
And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

What are we called to do regarding this man Jesus Christ?

We are to have fellowship with Christ.  We are to know Christ.
1 Corinthians 1:9
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 John 1:3
…that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Know Christ and have fellowship in his sufferings.

Philippians 3:10-11
   That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

2 Corinthians 1:5
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.

1 Peter 4:13
But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

Learn about Christ.  Salvation is knowing Christ.

John 17:3
And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

Matthew 11:27-29
…no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Our total purpose:

2 Peter 3:18
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.  To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

As in marriage, be united to Christ – but in perfection.
1 Corinthians 6:16-17
for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.

John 17:21-23
That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
   I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one;

Oh, men looking at pictures of sexy women.
Pornography.  They all hate it (professing Christians, left-wing, right-wing, false religions, atheists, secular, etc).

Yet, they are all wrong.

Pornography is the key to your salvation.

What are these pornographic images of women?
They are our cultural expressions of longing for that woman, and suffering without her.

Mankind was made in the likeness God.
Genesis 5:1
   In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;

When man (Adam) was created, everything was ready for him.
In the perfect garden of Eden, there was no sin, there was no question of where to put Adam, or how many days would be in a week, or how his world would be lit...

…except for one thing.

Genesis 1:31
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.

Creation and Adam’s place within creation were absolutely perfect…except for one lack, one missing item.

The key link to Christ’s longing for his bride and suffering without his bride – to fellowship with and knowing Christ – is inside every man (male gender) of the Adamic race.
Genesis 2:18,20
   And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone;
...And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an helper suitable for him.

When God made woman, he fulfilled that characteristic of lack that men have – that longing for woman and the suffering without woman.
Genesis 2:23-24
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

God didn't have Adam go without sunlight, or moonlight, or rivers, or all kinds of animals...

But God did have Adam go without woman for a lesson to us all: fellowship of sufferings with Christ.

Look carefully at these images.

They express that man wants a woman – a woman who:

1) comes to him via obedience.
1 Peter 3:6
Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him lord

2) has perfected herself…
Esther 2:12
…she had been twelve months, according to the manner of the women, (for so were the days of their purifications accomplished, to wit, six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with sweet odours, and with other things for the purifying of the women;)

…rather than lost that beauty.
Isaiah 3:24
And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.

We’ve scoured the world to find her.
1 Kings 1:2-4
Wherefore his servants said unto him, Let there be sought for my lord the king a young virgin: and let her stand before the king, and let her cherish him, and let her lie in thy bosom, that my lord the king may get heat.
So they sought for a fair damsel throughout all the coasts of Israel, and found Abishag a Shunammite, and brought her to the king.
And the damsel was very fair, and cherished the king

3) she dresses in that special way that is acceptable to him.
Song of Solomon 7:1
How beautiful are thy feet with shoes, O prince's daughter!

4) a woman who is united with him.
Ephesians 5:31-33
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

Imagine the suffering single man longing for that woman, as Christ suffers and longs for his people.  He is jealous when she goes whoring after others.
Consider the married man who sees something in those images that his wife lacks: a woman who obediently perfects her body, as Christ rejects anything but perfection from his people.

2 Peter 2:20
For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

Think of the dating man desiring those special outfits, as Christ demands that she put on only clothing acceptable to Him.
Isaiah 61:10
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Job 29:14
I put on righteousness, and it clothed me: my judgment was as a robe and a diadem.

Watch that adulterous porn star slut, who commits fornication, and would never be faithful to you – but you still want her.
Jeremiah 3:6-7
…and there hath played the harlot.
And I said after she had done all these things, Turn thou unto me.  But she returned not.

Hosea 1:2
Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.

The Bible ends with the perfected bride united to Christ, just as if that perfected woman came out of the sexy video, united to and fulfilling that longing and suffering man.

Revelation 21:2
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Revelation 22:17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.  And let him that is athirst come.  And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Isaiah 62:5
For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.
