These days, it seems that all women (including professing Christian women) want a man with money.

Life isn’t about what you want.

Everyone already knows what you want.

Life is about what you are willing to give up.

1 Timothy 6:10
For the love of money is the root of all evil

Jesus speaks to the ruler who would fall short regarding eternal life:
Luke 18:22-23
Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

You can’t follow both God and money (mammon).
Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

Will you give care for the weak?
Luke 10:35
Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, when I come again, I will repay thee.

Will you give up your financial security?
Matthew 6:25
Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.

Will you give up all of your money?
Mark 12:42-44
And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.

Will you give up what you want, and deny yourself?
Luke 9:23
And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Will you give up your family for Christ?
Matthew 10:37
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

Will you give up your dignity?
1 Kings 18:39
And when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces: and they said, The LORD, he is the God; the LORD, he is the God.

Ruth 2:10
Then she fell on her face, and bowed herself to the ground…

Micah 1:8
Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

…even humiliate yourself?  – as King David was committed to when he danced for the Lord.
2 Samuel 6:21-22
…therefore will I play before the LORD.
And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight

Will you give up your life?
Revelation 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

1 Corinthians 15:19
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

If you hold onto what you have, you will lose it anyway.
John 12:25
   He that loveth his life shall lose it;

But those who let go of what they have for Christ receive more through Christ.
Luke 18:29-30
There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,
Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

2 Corinthians 8:9
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work

The heathen who are not giving up for Christ will eventually bow.
Romans 14:11
As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me

The heathen who tried to hold on will lose everything anyway.
Matthew 16:25-26
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Christians who let go will get what the heathen tried to hold on to.

Proverbs 13:22
...the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

Psalm 105:43-45
And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
   And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people;
That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws.  Praise ye the LORD.

Matthew 25:28-29
Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.
For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

Behold: the pampered women with their men’s credit cards, buying clothes, shoes, jewelry, and more clothes – and their fate.

Isaiah 3:18-24
In that day the Lord will take away the bravery of their tinkling ornaments about their feet, and their cauls, and their round tires like the moon,
The chains, and the bracelets, and the mufflers,
The bonnets, and the ornaments of the legs, and the headbands, and the tablets, and the earrings,
   The rings, and nose jewels,
The changeable suits of apparel, and the mantles, and the wimples, and the crisping pins,
The glasses, and the fine linen, and the hoods, and the vails.
And it shall come to pass, that instead of sweet smell there shall be stink; and instead of a girdle a rent; and instead of well set hair baldness; and instead of a stomacher a girding of sackcloth; and burning instead of beauty.
