Oh, the sorry state of fathers and men who would be fathers.

By every objective measure, modern men are the weakest, most ridiculed, pathetic generation of men to walk the earth.

Men’s status is a joke.  Children look at them with suspicion, women laugh at them, and the government helps itself to their belongings.

(Also regarding this modern generation of men… the fulfillment of the New Covenant, Christ’s return, and the whole point of having life on earth rests upon the decisions you make, rendering you the most important men in modern history – while God and all of creation waits and watches.)

No pressure.

         Romans 8:19
For the earnest expectation of the creation waiteth for the          manifestation of the sons of God.

The Old Testament (Covenant) begins with the story of the fall of man.
Genesis 3:6
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Adam’s sin unto death is restored to life by the second and last Adam: Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:45,47
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
…The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

Romans 5:12,15,19
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned…
But not as the offence, so also is the free gift.  For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many…
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Without the second Adam (Christ) – the New Testament (Covenant), we are left in sin.

Psalm 51:5
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

The last line of the Old Testament (Covenant) is a curse.
Malachi 4:6
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

And without Christ, life from the fall of Adam, we have the destruction of the family, specifically, the breakup of fathers’ relationship to their children.

How does the New Testament (Covenant) begin?
With restoration of fathers to children: the patriarchal lines.

Matthew 1:1-2,17
The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.
   Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;
…So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Christ restored man with a ‘finishing’ victory.
John 19:30
When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

But, Christ shares the victory with us.
Hebrews 2:9-10
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

In fact, God is committed to use men, who, in time, bring forth this victory that Christ has assured through his victory on the cross.

God didn’t really need the man Moses to part the Red Sea.
But he allowed Moses to share in the victory over the Egyptians.
Exodus 14:16,26-27
But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.
…And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.
And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea.

Victory over the Amalekites:
Exodus 17:11
...when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

Similarly, God had Joshua hold up the spear for victory over Ai.
Joshua 8:18,26
And the LORD said unto Joshua, Stretch out the spear that is in thy hand toward Ai; for I will give it into thine hand. And Joshua stretched out the spear that he had in his hand toward the city.
…For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.

In fact, God does not act without sharing with his people.
Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

God speaks through his men.
2 Samuel 12:7
   And Nathan said to David, Thou art the man.  Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I anointed thee king over Israel, and I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul;

In contrast, the angels do need us to activate them.
Daniel fasted for 21 days (eating only basic foods), which began and aided angelic intervention.
Daniel 10:2-3,12-13
In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks.
I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.
…Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.
But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.

Where does this leave us?

Christ was able to sit down, rather than stand, as he was victorious and able to permanently take away sin.

Hebrews 10:11-13
And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
   But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

We are to participate in this victory – that is, bring about making Christ's enemies his footstool.

Christians, with their blood covenant with Christ, are to defeat the Devil and his fallen angels – by speaking their testimony and putting their lives on the line.
Revelation 12:9,11
And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
…And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

While you might be wallowing in your problems and self-pity, and waiting for God to help you – the reality is that God is waiting for you to act.

Professing Christians who are sitting back and waiting for Christ’s return have missed (or avoided) something rather important.

Immediately before Christ returns, the whore of Babylon is defeated.

Immediately before Christ returns, proper Christians participate and share in the victory over this whore who is feminism and who is personified by the heresy of female authority, the false Virgin Mary.

The whore of Babylon is revealed in
Revelation 17:1
…Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters

And is defeated by Revelation 19:2-3
….he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.
And again they said, Alleluia. And her smoke rose up for ever and ever.

Then, Christ returns in Revelation 19:11
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

What is right in between?  Right in between the fall of the whore and Christ’s return are the Christians who participate and share in the victory over the whore.

That’s how Christians are made righteous – which is needed for the return of Christ: by defeating the whore that is feminism.
Revelation 19:7-9
Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteous acts of saints.
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.  And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

And these proper Christians are willing to risk their lives for this goal.
Revelation 18:24
And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.

Revelation 19:2
…hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand.

Also, these fighters have something else in addition to their weapons.

Malachi 4:5-6
Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Who is this Elijah?

The prophet Elijah took on the most wicked King of Israel at that time, King Ahab, and his Queen Jezebel.

He defeated Jezebel’s female authority, and Ahab’s acceptance of this authority.
